Crisis Program


 
 

Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence provides a wide range of services to victims of domestic violence who are in crisis. Services provided to victims are confidential and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

24 Hour Hotline

Trained Domestic Violence Advocates answer the hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide victims with counseling, support, information and referrals.

Shelter

MSCFV offers safe, comfortable and confidential accommodations for 30 days with high security and 24-hour support for victims and their children. While in shelter, advocates work with clients to identify and utilize community resources, develop a safety plan and assist with goal setting. Advocates can also help clients find long-term housing.

Crisis Counseling and Advocacy

MSCFV Client Advocates provide ongoing domestic violence educational counseling to shelter and non-shelter clients. MSCFV operates outreach office in the five counties served to meet clients and provide ongoing counseling and support. Client Advocates provide advocacy for clients with community organizations.

Crisis Response

Advocates are available to meet victims in the hospital or at the police station to provide support, counseling and information.

Pet Sheltering

MSCFV works with local pet sheltering program and the Humane Society to make sure that pets are safe during the time of transition for the victim.

Food Assistance Program

MSCFV provides clients receiving services and who are in need of food, assistance with food boxes or food cards.

Crisis Support Group

MSCFV provides a weekly, drop in support group on Monday evenings from 6:30pm-8pm.
