TRANSITIONAL PROGRAM
Often victims of domestic violence are faced with the reality of finding an affordable place to live, a job that pays adequately, retaining an attorney to represent them with their ongoing legal issues and so on. These, among others, are some of the many reasons that victims remain in abusive relationships for years. The goal of the Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence (MSCFV) Transitional Program is to provide victims of domestic violence, who have taken the first step in living a life free from violence, with a broad spectrum of services that can assist them in reaching their goal of independence.
History
MSCFV Executive Director, Jeanne Yeager, recognized the unique situation
that domestic violence victims are placed in once they make the commitment
to move on with their life free from abuse and so the Transitional Program began.
