SUPPORT SERVICES
The following are just some of the services that the Transitional Services Coordinator can provide.
Case Management
Clients in the Transitional Program are asked to maintain regular contact with the
Transitional Services Coordinator (TSC). This allows the TSC to assist clients with
setting their goals and customizing a program that fits them. The TSC educates clients
about domestic violence, helps assess community resources, works on a monthly budget, and
provides assistance in any other areas that will assist clients in meeting the goals they have set.
One-on-One Counseling/Accompaniments
The TSC provides clients with emotional support through one-on-one domestic violence
educational counseling. The TSC also support clients by accompanying them to court
appearances and other appointments.
Financial Assistance
The Transitional Program provides clients with limited financial assistance, as determined by
the TSC and Executive Director, to help clients with barriers that are preventing them from
achieving their goals. For example, the Transitional Program may contribute funds toward first
months rent or security deposit to help the client reach their goal of obtaining permanent housing.
Advocacy
The Transitional Service Coordinator advocates on behalf of transitional clients with
other community agencies.
