Sole Strength

Sole Strength is a first-of-its-kind public art exhibition that transforms the stories of domestic violence survivors into powerful works of art.​

Twenty-five artists from across Maryland's Eastern Shore and beyond inluding internationally recognized muralists, nationally exhibited painters, community arts leaders, and local creatives have paired with survivor stories donated shoes worn during pivotal moments in each survivors journey.

Visitors will not only view artwork but also hear recorded survivor stories while experiencing the exhibition, creating an immersive and deeply human experience.

​

The gallery launch event will take place on October 21 and then the full exhibition will be available for the public to view for free on the first floor of the Market at Dover Station through October 31as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

​

​A Silent auction will be open from October 22 - 31 to bid on the art.
